Requirements MembershipEdge is sold as a service not a software package. Your database runs on our servers so you avoid investing in expensive networks and servers. All you need to run MembershipEDGE is a computer with an Internet connection.

◊ Software

MembershipEDGE is designed to be used on the most popular computers and operating systems. Some features may not work with older versions of some programs. The following list provides the minimum system necessary for MembershipEdge to function correctly:

• Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, NT, XP or Mac OSX
  
  
• One of the following:
  
  
  1. Internet Explorer - version 5.5 or greater on PC
  2. Firefox - version 1.5 or greater on PC or Mac OS X 10.2 or greater.
  3. Safari on Mac
  4. AOL Browser
     
     
     

• If you wish to use the mail merge or download reports directly into Microsoft Word or Excel format you need Word/Excel 97 or better or a compatible product which can open .doc and .xls files.

◊ Hardware

MembershipEdge is designed to operate on a minimum hardware platform. Essentially, any computer capable of providing acceptable performance in accessing the Internet will run MembershipEdge. MembershipEdge was designed to operate with minimal graphics and very fast page downloads.

◊ Internet Connection

MembershipEdge will operate with a dial up, cable modem, DSL, or other "broadband" style connection. For dial up connections, a 56K modem is recommended. While MembershipEdge was designed to run on a dial up line, those with a high speed connection will find it to be faster. While not required, a high speed connection will give better results for those who manage large membership rosters.
